The processing of your personal data may be necessary because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract. You do not have to provide us with personal data we request but if you do not provide us with the required personal data we may not be able to provide the required services to you.

We also gather: Name, address, email, dependents, financial status (relating to all directors and proprietors), Business financial status, Business financial statements and Bank statements and any other associated returns/ Information relating to your business and personal circumstances.
We need to know your basic personal data to provide you with an accurate recommendation for your personal circumstances. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need to provide and oversee this service to you.
For processing of data to be lawful under GDPR Quest Commercial Finance Ltd use;

(b) Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract you have with the individual, or because they have asked you to take specific steps before entering into a contract.

Where we store your data
All the personal data we use is controlled by Quest Commercial Finance Ltd in the UK, however, for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance, this information is located on servers within the European Union. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.
Paper-based records are kept in locked cabinets in secure office premises. All client files/data are backed up to ensure maximum security of confidential information is maintained.
Your data is stored electronically on our cloud encrypted server. Our server is based in the UK.
How long we keep it
We are required under regulation to keep your basic personal data, such as, but not limited to: Name, address, email, dependents, financial status (relating to all directors and proprietors) and any other associated returns/ Information relating to your personal circumstances for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed. The information used for marketing will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
How long we hold your personal data for will vary. The retention period will be determined by various criteria including:
- The purpose for which we are using it – we will need to keep the data for as long as is necessary for that purpose; and
- Legal obligations – laws or regulation may set a minimum period for which we have to store your personal data.
What are your rights?
If at any point you believe retained information is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected and possibly deleted. Providing you with this information is free of charge, but charges may apply for excessive requests.
